Governance

The Mosque of Islamic Brotherhood is governed through Shuura (mutual consultation according to the Qur'an and Sunna). The Qur'an is our constitution. Our amir (leader) is our imam. Our congregation consists of a brotherhood and a sisterhood. Members are of two catagories - full and participating, and fraternal. Full and participating members vote in favor or in opposition to the affairs of our congregation.

Further, We have a Board of Directors that serves as an administrative oversight and policy-making body, in cooperation with the imam. Day to day mosque operations are accomplished and executed through departments or sections charged with various responsibilities.   Each department or section of the brotherhood has a head.

Additionally, the sisterhood has its own leadership body appointed by the imam or serving with his authorization.
